Chia is an awesome staple in your diet. Chia seeds have everything your body loves - super high levels of calcium, protein and omega 3. They are also an adaptogen where they assist in escorting toxins out of your body. There is nothing I love more then when taste and nutrition meet ..introducing Berry Chia Jam!
Ingredients
1cupfresh or frozen blueberries
2cupsfresh or frozen strawberries
3-4tbspnssweetener of choice.. raw honey, rice malt syrup OR pure maple syrup
2tbspnstbspns chia seeds
1tsppure vanilla extract
Instructions
Blitz the berries and sweetener in a blender
Transfer berry mix into a saucepan over high heat until the mix starts to bubble then, simmer over medium to low heat, stirring frequently for 3 to 5 minutes.
Add chia seeds, combining well and, continue stirring for approximately 5 minutes.
Remove saucepan from heat and add in vanilla.
