Cacao – the REAL DEAL chocolate.  I’m not talking heavily processed commercial chocolate which, is essentially a whole lot of sugar, milk, additives and fillers?!   Real chocolate is sourced from the cacao bean and, transformed into cacao powder, nibs or butter.  The processing system retains the nutritional integrity so, is full of healthy benefits. Yup.  Real chocolate is actually GOOD FOR YOU!  It is rich in not only taste but, anti-oxidants and magnesium.  How exactly can this power food be used?  

Here are 3 of the tasiest ways:

Cacao Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/4 cup cacao
  • 3 soaked dates

Instructions

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth.  Serve straight away or place in fridge to thicken.

BEST EVER Raw Chocolate Snickers Pieces

Despite this raw chocolate being absolutely indulgent, it still offers health giving properties! There are incredibly high levels of anti-oxidants and magnesium in Cacao and,  anti-inflammoraty properties in Coconut Oil.  And the taste!!  ..AMAZING!!

Ingredients

  • 6 tbspns natural organic peanut butter
  • 3 tbspns coconut oil
  • 3 tbspns maple syrup
  • 2 tbspns cacao
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed cashews

Instructions

  •  Mix all ingredients (except crushed cashews) in a bowl, stir until smooth consistency.
  • Add crushed cashews and stir until well combined.
  • Pour mixture into lined container and place in freezer.  Leave to set for minimum 2 hours.
  • Remove from freezer and cut in to chunks to serve.
  • To keep, store in freezer.

Mon’s Decadent Cacao Choc Shake!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup nut milk
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 2 tbsp coconut yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp cacao
  • 1 tbsp cacao nibs
  • 1-2 tbsp almond spread

Instructions

  • Zshoosh the ingredients together in a blender, our into a glass and enjoy!
